Sponsored by United Way of Junction City/Geary County
Ailleen Cray spent her life giving back to others. She was part of United Way for over 20 years and was the director of United Way Junction City/Geary County from 2008, until she passed in 2016. Ailleen had a passion for helping others, community engagement, and volunteerism. She provided mentorship to many students and encouraged them to be involved in their communities. Ailleen lived life selflessly, and with compassion for others.
This scholarship is just one example of Ailleen’s love for others. The recipients of this scholarship have gone above and beyond to help better their community – through acts of volunteering. They see the importance of giving back and have made it their goal to be a light for others, just as Ailleen was.
In honor of Ailleen Cray, and United Way of Junction City/Geary County, we are pleased to provide three (3), $250 scholarships. The scholarship committee will pick one recipient from each school.
